One Great trip with one great airplane. The visibility from this plane is awesome.  You can take along 1285 lbs. of family, friends and fuel.  I was impressed with it's high density altitude capabilities. And the limitations that high - hot - and humid really do put on the performance of the plane.

This is a writing in progress.  I will keep at it until I get to California and back.  I did the Real Thing - flying the plane there and back, I should be able to finish the writing part too.

I flew the entire trip on an IFR flight plan.  We had near perfect VFR weather the entire time out and back, but I prefer to be on an IFR plan and have the help of another set of eyes.  It is also the single pilot IFR that I love.  We had many moments of IFR that would not have been legal nor safe if done VFR.  So the real beginning of the trip started with all the flight planning and scheduling and weather gathering.  I "looked" at every airport we would land at on the way out and back and several more that were possibilities.  I wanted to know they were ok, had gas, were open, had bathrooms, etc.  I did a pretty good job, but not the best, as you will see.

Your can follow the rest of the trip on the links to the left.
